Does legislation stop you from having a blog ( Doesn't cameron have one??).
Surely you don't charge this to expenses? Blogs are free!!
So why take it off line??

Sorry this has taken so long, Mr Anon; for the purposed of elections, any and every publication that can be construed as promotional is included into the election expenses account.
Although a blog is as you rightly say free, the electoral commission rules state that a nominal charge will be made for each and every promotional web-based communication. The problem here is the EC don't tell us how much these charges are until after the election. I've therefore come to the conclusion that taking the blog offline for that period is a safer way to avoid any unpleasant surprises aftewards!
